Today I delivered mask number four hundred to a client who came into the LA LGBT Center's clinic for lab work. Earlier this afternoon I dropped off a batch of masks to an older adult housing facility in the Hollywood, CA area. Just when I think I'm caught up on requests, more come in. Tomorrow I'm mailing masks to four low income seniors who randomly found my website and emailed me to ask for masks. I see many people online and on the streets of Los Angeles selling face covers. I recommend supporting a small business if possible, but the fact is there are many people struggling financially who cannot afford $10-20 for something to cover their face. My masks continue to be delivered and mailed free of charge to those who need them.
Thank you to my coworkers, friends, and family who have helped to support this endeavor so far. And check out this article by Greg Hernandez, who did a wonderful job of featuring the Make-A-Mask Project in his weekly column.
