Tanya Tassi has been captivating audiences since the age of three. As a teenager, she formed and managed a performance troupe of young entertainers, organizing appearances at hospitals, veterans’ homes, and assisted living communities throughout the Midwest. She continued leading the group into her late twenties, bringing music and joy to thousands of seniors, military personnel, and chronically ill patients.
Throughout her career, Tanya has been featured as the voice behind numerous national television commercials, voice-overs, and commercial jingles. She further honed her craft at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she studied recording, songwriting, and vocal performance. During her time in Music City, she had the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with some of the industry’s most respected artists and musicians, including Sawyer Brown and Glen Campbell.
Following her studies, Tanya earned a coveted position in the choir supporting Ray Charles during one of his final tours, The Gospel According to Ray Charles. She has also shared the stage with renowned performers including Kenny Rogers, Barbara Mandrell, and Boy Howdy.
A proud Branson Superstars alumna, Tanya spent three years portraying country music legends Patsy Cline and Reba McEntire. She later fronted and managed the highly sought-after variety band Straight Up for seven years, performing at casinos, resorts, theaters, and festivals across the United States. After relocating to the West Coast, she served as lead vocalist for the popular Guilty Conscience Band for three years.
Over the course of her career, Tanya has performed for audiences of up to 50,000 people, while her voice has been heard nationally on ABC, FOX, NBC, and Lifetime Television. She has also performed the National Anthem more than 200 times for professional sports organizations, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Brewers, and Los Angeles Lakers.
Although Tanya retired from full-time professional performing in 2020 to pursue a career in the nonprofit sector, music remains an important part of her life. She continues to perform with local bands and theater productions as her schedule permits and regularly donates her time and talents to fundraising events and charitable causes. A passionate advocate for community service, Tanya believes that music is one of the most powerful ways to connect, inspire, and give back.
