BIOGRAPHY

Tanya Tassi began entertaining at the age of three.  During her teen years, Tanya formed and managed a small troupe of young adults; booking performances at hospitals, veterans homes, and assisted living facilities throughout the Midwest.  She continued to manage the troupe until her late twenties, bringing music to thousands of older adults, military personnel, and chronically ill patients.

Tanya has been the voice of numerous national television voice overs and commercial jingles.  She spent several years studying the art of recording and songwriting in Nashville, TN at the famous Belmont University. During her tenure in the south, Tanya learned from some of the best singers and songwriters in the business; working with musicians such as Sawyer Brown and Glen Campbell.  Upon completing her education at Belmont University, Tanya auditioned for and won a spot in a small choir backing up Ray Charles during one of his final tours, "The Gospel According to Ray Charles."  She has also performed with musical greats Kenny Rogers, Barbara Mandrell, and Boy Howdy.

Tanya is a proud Branson Superstars alumni, playing the roles of Patsy Cline and Reba McEntire for 3 years. After her time in Branson, Tanya fronted and managed the popular variety band "Straight Up" for seven years. The group was in high demand, performing at casinos, resorts, festivals, and theaters throughout the United States. Upon her move to the West Coast, Tanya worked as a lead vocalist for the extremely popular, "Guilty Conscience Band" for three years. She has appeared in front of as many as 50,000 people and her voice has aired nationally on ABC, FOX, NBC, and Lifetime television.  She has performed the National Anthem over 200 times for an impressive list of sports teams including the LA Dodgers, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Brewers, and LA Lakers.

While Tanya retired as a professional vocalist in 2015  (she now works full-time in the nonprofit sector), she continues to perform with local cover bands and theaters and takes other bookings as time allows.  She frequently lends her vocals and support for fundraising events involving veterans, rescue animals, and the LGBTQ+ community, and strongly believes in giving back to her community.
